Paul has been the principal percussionist since joining the group in 2005. He has brought a wealth of experience to the group. During his career he has performed with 5 different symphonies, a series of community bands, swing, jazz and dance bands. Paul volunteers at Waunakee as the drum coach, and has formed a drum club, welcoming drummers from seventh to twelfth grade, performing a feature piece each December. When Paul is not focused on music, he is a human resources professional. The company he works with sells tools to support the business of “administrivia” as it relates to the lifecycle of the employee. Paul has been married to Ruth since 1988. Another member of the percussion section since 2005, his daughter Keelin, has been dad’s “2nd set of hands” for the last 8 years. She has been sadly forced to leave the band to attend college at Ripon. Paul and Ruth also have a son, Ryan, who is a bass player, and still in high school. If you come to their house, be prepared to discuss music, and to be welcomed by their three dogs, Augie, Jaxy and Arya.
