Jerry Jacobsen is a “comeback” player, ie. one who puts his horn aside to have a career and family, and then at retirement, gets serious again about music. Back in the 60’s he studied with Arnold Jacobs of the Chicago Symphony. More recently, after retirement, he has studied with Alan Campbell (Milwaukee Symphony) and currently is currently a student of David Cooper (Madison Symphony, UW Platteville).
